Abstract
Publications on heptavalent bromine compounds which have appeared during the last 10 years are reviewed. The discussion includes the preparation and analysis of perbromates, the physical and chemical properties of perbromic acid and its salts, the "hot atom" chemistry and radiation chemistry of perbromates, and the practical utilisation of heptavalent bromine compounds. 80 references.
