Russian Mathematical Surveys is the English translation of the Russian bimonthly journal Uspekhi Matematicheskikh Nauk, founded in 1936. Since 1998, RMS has been published jointly by Turpion, the London Mathematical Society and the Russian Academy of Sciences. RMS covers a wide area of mathematics and consists of three parts: the survey articles on current trends in mathematics written by leading experts in the field at the request of the editorial board; short communications of the Moscow Mathematical Society (results of new research); and mathematical life and biographical material.
