This announcement will let you know about changes to your subscription fulfilment of the following Turpion journals:
- Physics – Uspekhi
- Quantum Electronics
- Sbornik: Mathematics
- Izvestiya: Mathematics
- Russian Mathematical Surveys
- Russian Chemical Reviews
Ordering Information
Institute of Physics Publishing (IOP) will take responsibility for the 2007 sales and subscription fulfilment of the above listed titles effective with the renewal of journal subscription for 2007. This arrangement has developed out of the flourishing partnership between IOP and Turpion which was established in 2004.
The 2007 subscription prices for Turpion journals are available at http://www.turpion.org/main/sr.phtml.
Orders for all six of the Turpion journals can be placed through subscription agents or prepaid directly to the relevant addresses at http://www.iop.org/EJ/librarians/-page=order.
General Information
Turpin Distribution Services Ltd currently circulates Turpion journals to all subscribers and will continue to do so until the completion of your 2006 subscription(s). In 2007, IOP will take responsibility for the distribution service.
In 2007 Turpion will continue to offer ‘Print+Online’ and ‘Online Only’ options. Plus all current subscribers to Turpion journals will have online access to 10-year full-text archive at no extra cost. The ‘Print Only’ option is no longer available, however all existing ‘Print Only’ customers will now benefit from online access to the current volume plus 10-year full-text archive.
Online Access Information
All electronic content will continue to be hosted by Turpion throughout 2007, with the future aim to integrate Turpion electronic content into the IOP electronic journals platform.
Online access to Turpion journals is available from four to six weeks before the print version. Turpion can set up access within three working days upon registration on their website http://www.turpion.org/main/reg_form.phtml. Once you have registered there is no need to do so again, as access is updated automatically upon subscription renewal.
Historic Archive
Turpion has comprehensively digitized its journal historic archive back to the first English translation volumes (1958-1996) – http://www.turpion.org/archive). The archive contains full-text articles of top-level research in physics, mathematics and chemistry. In 2007, there continues to be three pricing options for the Historic Archive: one-time purchase fee, entire-archive annual subscription and single-title annual subscription.
IOP and Turpion are working closely together to ensure that there is a seamless transition to this new arrangement for all subscribers.
